Walker’s Mini Cakes
Make a stackable sweet treat with your favorite cake recipe made mini (we used Carrot and Vanilla), buttercream frosting, and all-butter shortbread. They’re easy to make and fun to eat!
Ingredients
4” Cake Pans
Your favorite homemade or store bought cake recipe/mix
1.5 C buttercream frosting
Method
Preheat oven to 350°F (for the cakes)
Bake in pre-greased 4” cake pans for around 15 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
Allow cakes to cool. Slice each cake in thirds and set aside.
Take a Walker’s Shortbread Round or Highlander and spread on a layer of frosting.
Add one layer of Cake and frost.
Add another Walker’s Shortbread Round or Highlander and frost.
Add one layer of Cake and frost.
Garnish with a Shortbread and add any embellishments you’d like. We’ve added edible flowers.
Assemble additional shortbread & cakes similarly until everything is used.
