Our Blogger Ambassadors champion Walkers Shortbread in recipes, fostering the love of our cookies within their communities and introducing Walkers Shortbread to new fans. As this year comes to an end, we want to take this opportunity to thank, congratulate, and showcase each of our Ambassadors’ most shared Walkers Shortbread recipes.
Life, Love and Sugar
We were very excited to sign on Lindsay Conchar as a Walkers Ambassador. She started her blog Life, Love and Sugar in July 2012 to share her love of sweets, especially cakes. While she created many recipes using Walkers Shortbread cookies as an ingredient, her Lemon Blueberry Shortbread Mousse Cake garnered the most buzz. Lindsay’s photo of the cake with layers of lemon and blueberry mousse, white chocolate ganache and a Walkers Shortbread crust calls to you to try the recipe yourself!
Crazy for Crust
In 2010, Dorothy Kern gave life to her blog, Crazy for Crust, showcasing her love of pies and crust. The blog evolved over the years into her place to share all kinds of dessert creations. We were lucky to partner with Dorothy through our Blogger Ambassador Program. One of our favorite recipes of hers is the Peanut Butter S’mores Cheesecake Dip made with Walkers Shortbread Chocolate Scottie Dogs, a sentiment shared by many as illustrated by the number of shares. This no-bake recipe provides an ideal mix for peanut butter-lovers and chocolate-lovers, and as Dorothy says in her post, it tastes “like a melted peanut butter cup.” Dorothy’s post suggests showcasing the cheesecake dip as part of a dessert table. This would be delicious served with a variety of dippers such as shortbread cookies, melon, fresh strawberries…or skip the dipper and use a spoon!
Barefeet in the Kitchen
Mary Younkin, Blogger Ambassador behind Barefeet in the Kitchen, loves to cook and bake from scratch. Her photography is just as phenomenal as her dessert creations and we enjoyed the opportunity to work with Mary over the last year. Mary shared Creamy Lemon Dip, a recipe that creates a tangy dip ideal for dunking Walkers Shortbread, raspberries, and strawberries. The main recipe calls for lemon curd as a main ingredient, but do not feel compelled to match Mary’s talents with a homemade lemon curd! We enjoy Stonewall Kitchen’s Lemon Curd just as much.
Please join us in thanking Lindsay, Dorothy, and Mary for sharing Walkers Shortbread recipes and their cooking expertise this year. Visit their respective blogs above and subscribe to receive future kitchen inspiration from them. The Walkers Shortbread team is busy finalizing details for our 2017 Blogger Ambassador program. We are excited to share the details soon!
