All the Walkers Gluten-Free Shortbreads are Certified Gluten-Free by the UK Coeliac Society. Each also meets the FDA standard for gluten-free food, which is to have less than 20 parts per million of gluten. Every batch is tested to ensure compliance before being released.
In the Walkers recipe, wheat flour is replaced by a blend of rice flour, maize flour, and potato starch. The gluten-free shortbreads contain the same butter and sugar content as the regular shortbreads, and as is Walkers custom, they contain no artificial flavorings or colorings.
Walkers Gluten Free Shortbread contains no Genetically Modified ingredients (GMOs) and no hydrogenated fats; it is suitable for vegetarians and is OU Kosher.
